Round 3 of the NBL26 Season continues on Saturday, October 4th, with two sides desperate to find a win as the Sydney Kings host the winless New Zealand Breakers at Qudos Bank Arena.
The Kings are coming off a 77-74 home loss to the Cairns Taipans last Sunday, where they struggled badly from deep, hitting just 14% from three-point range. Coach Brian Goorjian will no doubt have his squad focused on fixing those mistakes and bouncing back in front of their home fans.
It’s been a rough start for the Breakers, and coach Petteri Koponen is already under the pump after their third straight defeat. They led the Perth Wildcats early last round before fading to a 89-78 loss, but young gun Karim Lopez was a bright spot, finishing with 16 points and 7 rebounds.
Can the Kings get back on track, or will the Breakers finally break through for their first win of the season?

- Sydney’s been struggling to cover the line lately — five straight games without hitting it.
Prediction
The New Zealand Breakers have been giving up points to start the season, and it’s hard to see the Sydney Kings struggling from deep two games in a row. Both sides are desperate for a win, but the Kings have more talent and should be able to put up a solid scoring output here.
