The Bulldogs are now making a finals charge after their impressive 28 Point win over the Melbourne Demons last week.
The Cats were too good for the Crows in Round 13 and won the match by 28 Points.
A couple of team changes for both sides for this clash with the Bulldogs dropping Ben Cavarra and Patrick Lipinski. Tory Dickson and Will Hayes both get another shot at league football.
For the Cats, Jordan Clark and Esava Ratugolea are out of the side. Two significant in with Harry Taylor and Zach Tuohy both come back into the senior side.
Current Head to Head Odds
Western Bulldogs – $2.75
Geelong – $1.45
Prediction
Although the Bulldogs have won their last couple of games, the Cats are on a streak and are looking like the best side in the competition at the moment.
They are solid all the way around, and their midfield is proving to be one of the best in the competition. Tom Hawkins will prove a handful in this clash, and if the Dogs are any chance, they will need to win the midfield battle and some goals from their forwards which is looking unlikely against a solid Cats Defence. The additions of Tuohy and Taylor will make it very tough for the Dogs.
The Cats should march to their 5th straight victory here.
Our Pick – Geelong (Win)
Player Prop – Bailey Williams – 74.5 Fantasy Points
The Cats concede the least amount of fantasy points to opposition backs in the league this season. Williams has been in some decent form and the Cats will look to stop him and Caleb Daniel from setting up play from the back half. Williams has a season average of 66, but his recent form would suggest he should cover this number. Don’t be fooled by his recent averages as defenders against the Cats have enough trouble trying to stop forwards as opposed to winning the football.
