Prediction
These two sides have probably been the most impressive all season in terms of performing in big matches, and they will both want the double chance and a Top 4 finish.
The Tigers are coming off a nine-day break and the Cats just a five-day break, and that may become a factor in this clash.
The Tigers welcome back their best Defender, Dylan Grimes for this clash and he will no doubt get the job on Big Tom Hawkins. At times the Cats looked like they were at training in their match against the Bombers and they won the game easily.
The Tigers have a habit of performing in the big matches, and Dustin Martin will no doubt be a significant factor in this match. Slippery conditions are expected for this one and there has been no better team in this wet than the Tigers in recent seasons. The Cats will be going for seven wins in a row and the Tigers will be looking for four on the trot.
This is a challenging game to pick, but the Cats are playing very confident football at the moment, and if they keep it up, they should be too strong in a close match.
Our Pick – Geelong (Win)
Player Prop – Patrick Dangerfield + 82.5 Fantasy Points
Dangerfield is in form and has an average of 92 Fantasy Points over his last four matches. Is playing more of a midfield role and the Tigers have been giving up Fantasy Points to midfielders this season.
Player Prop – Dustin Martin + 72.5 Fantasy Points
Martin had a quiet match last week and will be looking to make up for it. Will spend most the game in the middle and should cover this number.
Cam Guthrie + 80.5 Fantasy Points
Guthrie is a great wet weather player and can get the football out of congestion. Has an average of 95 over the past four matches and should cover this number.
