Round 17 of the 2020 AFL Season continues on a Saturday and our first match features a couple of teams that are no longer in the finals race, but would want to get into some form before the season’s end.
The North Melbourne Kangaroos take on the Fremantle Dockers at Metricon Stadium to kick off the Saturday Proceedings.
Friday Night Football saw the Richmond Tigers stamp their authority on the 2020 Season and defeat the current flag favourites the Geelong Cats, in what many described as a match that didn’t deliver in terms of a spectacle.

Prediction
The Dockers were pretty good against the Demons, but are still struggling to hit the scoreboard on a regular occurrence. That may not be an issue against the Kangaroos, as they have struggled to defend this season. This game will probably be decided by who can win the midfield battle. The Dockers look ok in the middle, but if the Kangaroos have any strengths right now, they can show glimpse in the middle on occasions.
Fremantle has to win this game to be taken seriously and will more than likely get it done.
Our Pick – Fremantle (Win)
Player Prop – Andrew Brayshaw + 80.5 Fantasy Points
The Kangaroos give up the most Fantasy Points to opposition midfielders this season, and Brayshaw is an outside midfielder who gets looked to because of his decent ball use. Should cover this number.
Luke McDonald – + 77.5 Fantasy Points
A backman that knows how to get a cheap stat on the back-half. The Dockers have been wasteful going forward this season and given that Freo should win the Inside 50 count, the ball may go down there a lot. McDonald takes the majority of the kick-ins from a behind, and can rack up 20+ points in a matter of minutes. With the Kangaroos choosing to chip the ball around the back half consistently this season he could smash this number.
