Texas Tech Red Raiders vs Virginia Cavaliers
Game Prediction – Virginia to Win in a Close Contest
The Defense of the Virginia Cavaliers is lethal and teams have struggled to score against them all season.
They only give up 55.5 Points Per Game and if they get some sort of offense going they will probably be too good.
Defense wins big games and Texas Tech have been good in that area as well. They only give up 58.8 points per game so the better defending side should win this.
Kyle Guy had nerves of steel to hit 3 free throws against Auburn to win the game.
De’Andre Hunter was very big against Auburn and will be tough to contain for the Red Raiders.
Game Total Prediction + 117.5
Both sides will play slow pace basketball and the game won’t be too high scoring.
The Game Total for this one is rather low and if it is close with a couple of minutes left there will be a lot of free throws and chances to score points.
The Over doesn’t look too bad because the number is low. Both Sides have a combined average of 129.5 for the season.
Player Prop Predictions
De’Andre Hunter + 13.5 Points
Hunter was really good in the game against Auburn and he should cover his number in this one. Has a season average of 14.92 and likes to get to the bucket.
Jarrett Culver – 18.5 Points
Culver is the best player from both sides but the Virginia Cavaliers play the best defense in the country and will have a plan for him. Texas Tech will need some solid contributions from other players if they are to take out this match.
Tariq Owens + 7.5 Points
Culver will get all the attention and somebody from Texas Tech will need to step up on the offensive end. Tariq Owens could be the man and will play a lot of minutes. Has a season average of 8.84 points per game.
Game MVP Prediction
The Virginia Cavaliers should win this game and De’Andre is the player that may come out and have a big game.
He is not one of the Favourites to win the MVP so there is some value here. Had 14 points and 5 rebounds and kept them in the game when it mattered in their last win.
Should be a great game of basketball and always good to watch two great defensive teams fight it out.
They are some of the better NCAA Final picks for 2019.
