Here are some NBA Tuesday Picks for the 18th August 2020.

Form So Far

Head to Head – 4/4

Game Totals – 2/2

Player Props – 2/2

Orlando Magic @ Milwaukee Bucks

Last Meeting

8th Feb 2020, Milwaukee 111 @ Orlando 95

Last 5 Meetings

Orlando – 1 Win

Milwaukee – 4 Wins

Current Head to Head Odds

Orlando – $8.40

Milwaukee – $1.09

Prediction

The Bucks have Giannis back for this clash and have had too good a season to drop this game. The Magic have a few injury concerns, and the Bucks should be able to exploit them on the offensive end. The Bucks should win this one comfortably although the Magic did surprise in the playoffs last year.

Our Pick – Milwaukee (Win)

Game Total – Under 224.5 Points

The defensive intensity should pick up for this clash as it is a playoff game. These sides have a combined average of 209 in their last three matches, and the under is favoured here.

Miami Heat @ Indiana Pacers

Last Meeting

14th August 2020, Indiana 109 – Miami 92

Last 5 Meetings

Indiana – 2 Wins

Miami – 3 Wins

Current Head to Head Odds

Indiana – $2.68

Miami – $1.50

Prediction

The Pacers beat Miami in their last encounter, and we are going to lean towards them in this clash. T.J. Warren is expected to suit up for this clash and has been in red hot form. An outsider, but the Pacers may prove to be some value here.

Our Pick – Indiana (Win)

Player Prop – Bam Adebayo + 9.5 Rebounds

Maybe even favour the points total to go under in this clash with the defensive intensity expected to pick up and a lot of missed shots. This will give the Heat Centre plenty of chances for rebounds, and he did average 11 against the Pacers this season. Should cover this number if given 30+ Minutes, which is likely.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Houston Rockets

Last Meeting

20th January 2020, Oklahoma 112 @ Houston 107

Last 5 Meetings

Oklahoma – 4 Wins

Houston – 1 Win

Current Head to Head Odds

Oklahoma – $1.76

Houston – $2.12

Prediction

The Thunder won the last clash, and the Rockets are without Westbrook for this clash. Chris Paul is a big finals player and James Harden has yet to prove that he can produce in the finals. The Thunder will have a significant advantage in the frontcourt and should get it done here.

Our Pick – Oklahoma (Win)

Game Total – Under 224.5

It’s a playoff, and that means more defence and a potential lower scoring contest. These sides have an average of 217 in their last three matchups and the under looks favourable here.

Player Prop – Danilo Gallinari + 5.5 Rebounds

The Rockets lack a big man with rebounding presence and Gallinari has averaged 10 Boards against the Rockets this season. The Rockets like to jack up the three-ball, and there should be plenty of rebound chances in this clash.

Portland Trail Blazers @ Los Angeles Lakers

Last Meeting

31st January 2020, Portland 127 @ LA Lakers 119

Last 5 Meetings

Portland – 2 Wins

Los Angeles Lakers – 3 Wins

Current Head to Head Odds

Portland – $3.15

Los Angeles Lakers – $1.38

Prediction

Damian Lillard is playing excellent basketball, but he comes up against Lebron and the Lakers who will be looking to get off to a hot start in the playoffs. Davis and Lebron should suit up for this clash and should get the win here.

Our Pick – Los Angeles Lakers (Win)

Game Total – Over 230.5 Points

It may be a final, but Lillard is putting up shots fast on offence, and these sides have a combined average of 248 in their last three clashes. If they hit shots early, the Game Total will almost certainly go over.
