We have 8 games to get through tonight and it will be interesting to see if it is over for an NBA Powerhouse and will a couple of sides decide to play defence?
The NBA season is in the early stages and quite a few of the sides in action today, have shown some promise.

Houston Rockets @ Brooklyn Nets
Prediction – (Brooklyn + 4.5)
Game Total (Under 241.5)
Daily Fantasy Pick – Russell Westbrook
The Rockets travel to Brooklyn to take on the Nets after an incredible 159-158 win over Washington. The question has to be asked about defence in that game, but the Nets are in a similar situation with both sides having a combined average of 249 points in their matches this year.
In their last 5 head to Head Matchups, they have averaged 239 combined points. The over seems very high here and if both sides decide to play defence, it should go under the number.
This will be a good challenge for Kyrie and the Nets and they are playing at home. The Pacers got the better of them a couple of nights back, but they normally aren’t too bad coming off a loss.
The Rockets have been winning, but will the Westbrook/Harden combination work in the long term? They have not been particularly convincing and will need to start playing defence.
This is a tough game to pick, but the Nets should be in the game for the majority of the contest.
Cleveland Cavs @ Indiana Pacers
Prediction – (Cleveland + 7.5)
Game Total (Under 213.5)
Daily Fantasy Picks – Tristan Thompson and Malcolm Brogdon
The Cavs got the better of the Pacers 110-99 on their home court earlier in the year and the Pacers will be out for revenge. They will be without Myles Turner for this one, who sprained his ankle in the win over the Nets.
The Pacers will be confident in this one, but the Cavs have started the season off ok and should hang around for the majority of the match. Malcolm Brogdon has been a shining light and may also be a good Daily Fantasy Pick here.
Most of the time these two sides play in Indiana, the Game Total goes under and that trend may continue here. The Cavs to hang around in a lower scoring game.
Milwaukee Bucks @ Orlando Magic
Prediction – (Milwaukee – 4.5)
Game Total – (Under 215.5)
Daily Fantasy Pick – Giannis Antetokounmpo
The Bucks struggled defensively against the Celtics a couple of nights back and will be looking to make up for it. The Magic got passed the Knicks and most of their games have been low scoring, especially at home.
The Bucks have the MVP and although the Magic are a good defensive side, the Bucks should get it done in this one. The Trend of low scoring contests in Magic games should probably continue, so the under does look good here.
New York Knicks @ Boston Celtics
Prediction – (Boston – 10.5)
Game Total – (Over 214.5)
Daily Fantasy Pick – Kemba Walker
The Knicks got their first win against the Bulls a few nights back, but they come up against a Celtics side that was awesome in the second half of their match against the Bucks.
Boston got the better of the Knicks 118-95 recently, and should win this one at home quite comfortably. The Game Total is tough to pick in this one, but the Celtics can score high so the over may be the best option.
Detroit Pistons @ Chicago Bulls
Prediction – (Chicago – 3.5)
Game Total – (Under 216.5)
Daily Fantasy Pick – Zach Lavine
The Pistons have won the last 7 games between these two sides, but they come into this one with injury concerns and are up against an improving Chicago outfit.
Blake Griffen and Reggie Jackson won’t play, and Derrick Rose has a tight hamstring from his last match. This will be just the second home game for the Bulls and they will be out to impress their fans.
The Pistons injuries are a concern and the Bulls should get this one done in a lower scoring game.
Los Angeles Lakers @ Dallas Mavericks
Prediction – (Dallas + 1.5)
Game Total (Over 216.5)
Daily Fantasy Pick – Seth Curry
Probably the match of the day this one as Lebron and Davis take on Doncic and Porzingas.
The Lakers have made easy work of a couple of easier sides in their last 2 games, and the Mavs just beat the Nuggets away from home.
The previous matches between these two sides are not worth looking at in terms of the Game Total, because personnel has changed significantly. Expect some buckets in this game and the total is favoured to go over.
The Mavericks will enjoy the challenge against the Lakers and much will Hinder on whether or not Anthony Davis takes the court here. Dallas to be in it for most of the match regardless.
Utah Jazz @ Sacramento Kings
Prediction – ( Utah – 5.5)
Game Total (Over 214.5)
Daily Fantasy Pick – Donavan Mitchell
The Kings have been poor so far this season and are yet to win a game. They are struggling defensively and it doesn’t get any easier against a good Utah Jazz team.
They miss Marvin Bagley and will need to try and figure a way of containing Mitchell, Conley and Gobert from the Jazz.
Expect to see some buckets in this game and the Game Total is favoured to go over the number. The Jazz should take care of a struggling Kings side.
San Antonio Spurs @ Golden State Warriors
Prediction – (San Antonio – 6.5)
Game Total (Over 225.5)
Daily Fantasy Pick – LaMarcus Aldridge
The Spurs are on a back to back and that may be the only hope for an injury-plagued Warriors side. The Warriors were 30 down when Curry broke his arm against the Suns, but the reserves did play with a lot of passion in the latter stages of the contest.
The Spurs should win this game, but if Russell and a couple of others can hit shots the Warriors may surprise. Steve Kerr can coach and Draymond Green is still there.
The Spurs should win this game, and expect some buckets in a high scoring affair.
