AFL Grand Final Tips, Tigers vs Cats 2020

The 2020 AFL Grand Final kicks off this Saturday, and for the first time in AFL History, we have a nigh Grand Final that will not be played at the famous MCG.

The Gabba in Brisbane will be the stage for the Richmond Tigers taking on the Geelong Cats for a 7.30 pm Eastern Standard time start.

The Tigers are coming off a tough match against the Power in Adelaide in which they managed to win the contest by 6 points. The Cats are looking the goods and getting excellent service from their experienced campaigners, with a 40 point win over the Lions.

It was a shorter season, and the AFL did well to keep the fans entertained and managed to produce such a great spectacle for the 2020 AFL Season.

Team Changes

Both sides are going into the Grand Final with no team changes from last week.

Prediction

The two best sides will face off in the 2020 AFL Grand Final for AFL Season 2020. It is shaping up as an absolute Blockbuster with the Tigers hoping to go back to back, and the Cats looking to send off AFL Legend Gary Ablett in fine style.

The last time they played was back in Round 17, and the Tigers came out on top. An interesting thing with that match was the Tigers were on a nine-day Break and the Cats just the five-day break, which may have been a factor in the result of that match. Both sides also have some players that didn’t play in that match, which contribute to the team regularly.

The Tigers have been awesome in the finals over the last four seasons and will be very tough to beat in this clash, especially if it rains, as projected. The Cats are playing excellent football and the current form of Patrick Dangerfield and Gary Ablett suggests they are every chance in this contest.

The Tigers have improved their contested ball in this finals series and come up against a side that can win the football a lot at stoppages.

It is a challenging game to pick, but if the Cats can control the football as they have been and make the most of their scoring opportunities, they are every chance in this match and should win it. Yes, the Tigers did win the last game, but were on a longer break, and the Cats have some key ins and a lot to play for.

Our Pick – Geelong (Win)

Player Props

Player Prop – Gary Ablett 1+ Goals

Ablett looked very dangerous last week around goals and managed to boot a couple. He will spend the majority of the contest up forward and will get plenty of chances to snag a goal.

Patrick Dangerfield + 80.5 Fantasy Points

It is his first Grand Final and Dangerfield will try his best to win his first Flag. Has a season average of 81 Fantasy Points per game and knows how to win the football in slippery conditions. Should cover this number or at least be close.
