The Lions continue to impress with a 37 point win over the ladder leading Power and the Cats took care of the Suns at home and also managed a 37 Point Win.
A couple of team changes for this match with the Cats resting new recruit Jack Steven and the Lions welcoming back influential Midfielder Dayne Zorko, and losing Cam Ellis-Yolman to injury.
Prediction
The Lions are playing good footy, and although the Cats have won four of the last five matches between these two sides, the Lions won the previous encounter and have looked impressive in the last 18 months.
The Lions forwards looked good last week, and Charlie Cameron has played well against the Cats in recent times.
This is the first time the Cats have travelled since the break, and it will be interesting to see how they handle it.
Our Pick – Brisbane (Win)
Collingwood Magpies vs Hawthorn Hawks
Last Meeting
Round 16 2019, Hawthorn 9.13 67 – Collingwood 9.9 63
(Hawthorn by 4 Points)
Last 5 Meetings
Collingwood – 1 Win
Hawthorn – 4 Wins
Current Head to Head Odds
Collingwood – $1.68

Last Week
The Magpies were outclassed in the latter stages of their match against the Bombers in Wet Conditions and lost by 15 Points.
The Hawks had their first crack away from Melbourne and fell to the talented Giants outfit by 34 Points, with some injury concerns coming into this match.
Prediction
The Hawks have been up on the Gold Coast for over a week and get another chance on the same ground they lost on last week. The Pies were disappointing last week and may need a little more time to adapt to being in a different spot for a few days.
The Hawks have won the last three games, and that trend may continue here with the advantage of being in the hub situation for a more extended period. Coach Clarkson coaches well against Buckley and will no doubt have a plan to counteract the talented Magpies midfield, minus Sidebottom and De Goey.
Our Pick – Hawthorn (Win)
Fremantle Dockers vs St Kilda Saints

Round 21 2019, St Kilda 10.12 72 – Fremantle 10.9 69

Last Week
The Saints were impressive against the Blues last week and got the win last Thursday Night by 18 Points.
Fremantle managed their first win under new coach Longmuir, but it was against a struggling Adelaide Crows team.
Prediction
The Saints look to be adapting to the new game plan of Brett Ratten and are moving the football quickly and confidently. Some of the new recruits are playing good football, and they are getting the ball up forward consistently.
Fremantle has some injury concerns coming into this one and are still adapting to a new game plan, which hasn’t proved to be more effective in terms of scoreboard pressure just yet.
Our Pick – St Kilda (Win)
West Coast Eagles vs Adelaide Crows
Last Meeting
Round 21 2019, West Coast 13.12 90 – Adelaide 12.8 90
(West Coast by 10 Points)
Last 5 Meetings
West Coast – 4 Wins

Last Week
The Eagles did easy work of the Swans and may have got back some of their form with a 34 Point Win. The Crows fell to the Fremantle Dockers in one of the ugliest games of the season by 20 points.
Prediction
No need to get to into this one or think about it too much. The Eagles looked better last week and should start playing better football with the confidence of knowing they will be at home for an extended period as of next week.
Our Pick – West Coast (Win)
Melbourne Demons vs Gold Coast Suns
Last Meeting
Round 8 2019, Gold Coast 9.6 60 – Melbourne 8.13 61
(Melbourne by 1 Point)
Last 5 Meetings
Melbourne – 5 Wins
Gold Coast – 0 Wins
Current Head to Head Odds
Melbourne – $1.71
Gold Coast – $2.15
Last Week
The Demons are still getting the football out of the middle, but are struggling to hit targets and make the right decisions on the field. They lost to the Tigers by 27 points.
The Suns were pretty good against Geelong and lost young sensation Matt Rowell to injury. They stayed in it for the majority of the contest, but ended up falling by 37 Points.
Prediction
It is tough to make a case for the Demons with disposal efficiency that has struggled since last season. The Suns are playing with confidence, but the loss of Rowell may prove significant. It is just hard to feel confident about the Demons at the moment.
Our Pick – Gold Coast (Win)
Essendon Bombers vs North Melbourne Kangaroos

(Essendon by 5 Points)
Last 5 Meetings

Current Head to Head Odds
Essendon – $1.62
North Melbourne – $2.30
Last Week
The Bombers were impressive against the Collingwood side last week and dominated after a poor start to win by 15 Points.
The Kangaroos have now lost three on the trot and were disappointing in their 49 point loss to the Bulldogs.
Prediction
The Bombers looked very good against the Pies last week once they got going and they welcome back gun midfielder Zach Merrett. They have won the previous 3 games against the Kangaroos and that trend should continue here.
Our Pick – Essendon (Win)
Port Adelaide Power vs GWS Giants
Last Meeting
Round 19 2019, Port Adelaide 7.13 55 – GWS Giants 8.8 56
(GWS Giants by 1 Point)

Current Head to Head Odds
Port Adelaide – $1.96
GWS Giants – $1.85
Last Week
The Power had their first loss of the season last week after falling to the Lions by 37 points. The Giants made the most of the talent they have on their list and managed to beat the Hawks by 34 points.
Prediction
The Giants look to have found some form after a poor couple of weeks and have had minimal trouble against the Power in recent times. The Power has been off to a hot start this year, but we get to see if they are a genuine contender this week. The Giants are tough to beat when they are playing confident footy.
Our Pick – GWS Giants (Win)
Richmond Tigers vs Sydney Swans
Last Meeting
Round 5 2019, Richmond 13.11 89 – Sydney 10.7 67
(Richmond by 22 Points)
Last 5 Meetings
Richmond – 3 Wins
Sydney – 2 Wins
Current Head to Head Odds
Richmond – $1.77
Sydney – $2.05
Last Week
The Tigers made easy work over a poor decision making Demons outfit and got the win by 27 Points, but will come into this week with injury concerns.
The Swans were outclassed by the West Coast Eagles and lost the match by 34 Points.
Prediction
This one could be a tough game to pick, and it might pay to keep an eye out on the teams to see how many Richmond Key Players miss this game. In saying that they are well-coached and the Swans don’t have a ruckman or any big forwards to rely on at the moment.
Our Pick – Richmond (Win)
Carlton Blues vs Western Bulldogs
Last Meeting
Carlton 15.10 100 – Western Bulldogs 15.13 – 103
(Western Bulldogs by 3 Points)
Last 5 Meetings
Carlton – 1 Win
Western Bulldogs – 4 Wins
Current Head to Head Odds
Carlton – $2.50
Western Bulldogs – $1.54
Last Week
The Blues fell to the Saints last week with some of their key players in Cripps and Docherty being shut out of the contest. They lost by 18 Points, but did mount a comeback in the latter stages.
The Bulldogs made easy work of the Kangaroos and look to have regained the form which made many think they were a sneaky flag chance this season under coach Beverage this year.
Prediction
If Docherty and Cripps can have an impact in this game, the Blues are always a chance, but the Bulldogs are playing good footy and should be too strong.
Our Pick – Western Bulldogs (Win)
