An NBL triple-header for Round 9 on Sunday, January the 30th, and we get to see a few top teams in action.
Melbourne United travel to Adelaide for a matchup with the Adelaide 36ers, the Perth Wildcats tackle the Sydney Kings, and the New Zealand Breakers take on the Tasmania JackJumpers.
The 36ers are in desperate need of a win and come up against a Melbourne United side looking for its 9th consecutive win.
The Sydney Kings have looked out of sorts this season, and far from the championship contenders, many had them projected to be at the season start. They take on a Perth Wildcats side that dusted off the Illawarra Hawks two games in a row.
The Tasmania JackJumpers will come into their clash with the New Zealand Breakers full of confidence after their win over Adelaide. There was nobody more exciting than JackJumpers head coach Scott Roth, but can he back it up for two consecutive wins?

Prediction
Adelaide desperately need Mitch McCarron to suit up for this clash, but even if he does, they have looked out of sorts in recent times. Big man Daniel Johnson can’t get any consistency going and we may see more minutes from Philippine basketball sensation Kai Sotto.
Melbourne United did get out of jail a bit in their win over the Bullets, as Brisbane were throwing up bricks all evening. One thing Melbourne has been solid in in their 8 game winning streak is defence, and they will make it tough for the Adelaide scorers. Melbourne will be tough to beat in Adelaide.

Prediction
One thing to remember in recent seasons is to never tip against, or write off the Perth Wildcats when they may look a bit down. They stepped up to challenge against the Hawks and won both matches.
The Kings are coming off a win, but stopping Bryce Cotton and the Perth Wildcats will be tough. The Wildcats can let you down on the odd occasion, but they have a talented side. If Cotton gets hot, they normally win, but Sydney will be no pushover.

Prediction
The New Zealand Breakers have not played a game for over two weeks and may come out a little rusty as most teams have after an extended break.
The fact this is still really a Tasmanian home game plays into the JackJumpers favour, and they looked good in their win over Adelaide, despite shooting the ball poorly.
Tasmania are beginning to play some solid defence and will fancy themselves in this one.
