Last Week

The Bombers continued their good form with a 14 point win over the Kangaroos.

The Bulldogs were disappointing last Sunday Night falling to Carlton by 52 points in a disappointing overall effort. The last time they had a poor game like that, they came out firing the following week.

Why the Bombers Can Win

The Bombers are in some good form, and although they will be without arguably their best midfielder in Dylan Shiel through suspension, they will come into this game full of confidence. Ash McGrath is getting the football and providing run and carry, and they will be out to break a long losing streak against the Dogs, which always adds motivation.

Why the Bulldogs Can Win

Coach Beveridge has rung in 4 changes for this match with out of form players getting the chop.

Premiership Player Matt Suckling is back and will help provide some thrusts up forward with his booming left foot.

If the Dogs senior players can get the hands-on the football and control it, it will go a long way to helping the game plan coach Beveridge will implement.

The Dogs are generally pretty good after a huge loss and will be out to win back some respect. They got well beaten in contested ball and were well behind Carlton in One Percenters which showed a lack of intent last week.

Excellent conditions are also expected for this game in which the Bulldogs play more confident football as it allows them to control the footy.

Prediction

The loss of Dylan Shiel for the Bombers is significant, and the Bulldogs are pretty good at turning around bad form.

Our Pick – Western Bulldogs (Win)

Fantasy Pick – Kyle Langford + 61.5 Fantasy Points

Langford has had a pretty good year, and with Shiel out, he may spend some time on the ball. Is averaging 68.2 Fantasy Points so far this season and should cover the number here.
