Last Week
The Gold Coast Suns were the surprise packet of last week with an impressive win over the West Coast Eagles by 44 Points. The Crows played the Power in the Showdown and were well beaten by 75 points in a disappointing showing.
Gold Coast have dropped experienced Midfielder Brayden Fiorini for this match and have included a couple experienced players, including David Swallow and former Tiger, and Recruit Brandon Ellis. For the Crows, Will Hamill makes his debut for the injured Wayne Milera.
Why the Suns Can Win
Gold Coast looked good last week against the Eagles, and some of their younger players showed some real promise. Matt Rowell looks like a star of the future and proved a handful for the Eagles last week. He was well supported by Lachie Weller, Sam Day and Jack Bowes.
The Suns played with confidence, and their two experienced inclusions should complement a growing and emerging list for this match. Gold Coast have struggled against the Crows in recent seasons losing the last 5 Matches by significant margins, but they come up against a struggling Crows side who are implementing a new game plan and have a new coach.
Why the Crows Can Win
The Crows were incredibly disappointing against the Power in the Showdown last week and will be looking to bounce back. They have had no trouble with the Gold Coast in the past and will be looking to continue their dominance and impress new coach Matthew Nicks.
The Crows still do have some solid midfielders who know how to get the footy, but they need some form from their Big Forwards and somebody to step up. Their recent success over the Gold Coast would suggest they are a decent chance in this match
Prediction
The trend this season is for clubs to come back after a heavy loss, but the Crows just don’t look like a team that is connecting on the footy field as yet.
Our Tip – Gold Coast (Win)

Last Week
Fremantle has shown some promise this season and was pretty good in their loss against the Lions last week. The Power dominated the Showdown and beat the Crows by a significant margin.
The Dockers welcome back big forward Jesse Hogan and Defender Nathan Wilson for this match, while Ollie Wines comes in for the injured Ryan Burton for the Power.
Why the Dockers Can Win
The Dockers have been ok so far this season under new coach Justin Longmuir, and the addition of Jesse Hogan up forward will help them out if he can find some form.
Their two best players in Nat Fyfe and Michael Walters were excellent last week, and they will need that to continue if they are any chance in this match. If Fyfe and Walters can play similar games to the previous week and the overall skill of the team can improve they are a chance to win this match
Why the Power Can Win
The Power is coming off a huge win, but be aware of the sides that are coming off easy victories. Complacency tends to sneak in as we saw with the Geelong side last night.
Ollie Wines is a welcome addition to the Power Midfield and the form of some of the Power youngsters last week was a welcoming site to Power Fans. Butters, Duursma and Rozee had solid games last week, and the future looks promising for the Power.
If they bring the pressure and force the Dockers into quick decisions, they could win this match by a significant margin.
Prediction
The Power looked very good last week, and they should continue that form against a rebuilding Dockers outfit.
Our Pick – Port Adelaide (Win)
