(Port Adelaide by 42 Points)

Last Five Meetings

Port Adelaide – 2 Wins

West Coast – 3 Wins

Current Head to Head Odds

Port Adelaide – $1.62

West Coast – $2.35

Last Week

The Power made easy work of the Dockers after dominating one-quarter of football in wet conditions. They managed a 29 Point victory and kept up their good form.

The Eagles are still struggling to used to the Hub Situation and lost to the Brisbane Lions by 30 Points.

Why the Power Can Win

The Power have looked good so far this season, but have played 3 of the sides that are favoured for a bottom four finish. This will be a test for the Power, but they get to play an Eagles side that is struggling to find any sort of form.

The more experienced Power midfielders are getting their hands on the football, and Charlie Dixon looked OK last week up forward with 6 Marks. Hard to tip against the Power at the moment.

Why the Eagles Can Win

West Coast may be lacking confidence, but they are still loaded with talent and welcome back Defender Jeremy McGovern for this encounter. They chopped four players for this match and will be looking to control the football in the drier conditions.

Last time they played the Power they were outclassed in Wet Conditions out West. If the Eagles can control the football with excellent skills, they are a chance in any game.

Prediction

The Eagles just haven’t been convincing enough as yet, and the Power have looked good.

Our Pick – Port Adelaide (Win)

St Kilda Saints vs Richmond Tigers

Last Meeting

Round 15, 2019 St Kilda 10.10 70 – Richmond 16.7 103

(Richmond by 33 Points)

Last 5 Meetings

St Kilda – 1 Win

Richmond – 4 Wins

Current Head to Head Odds

St Kilda – $2.90

Richmond – $1.42

Last Week

The Saints were outclassed by the Pies last week and lost the match by 44 Points. Richmond looked a little disinterested against the Hawks and were thumped by 32 Points.

Both sides will be looking to regain some form after significant losses.

Why the Saints Can Win

The Saints have a decent emerging young list, and some of their smaller types of forwards appear dangerous this season when given an inch. Former Tiger, Dan Butler has looked good up forward for the Saints, and he comes up against some defenders he would know well.

A couple of the more experienced Saints Mids were well held last week, and if they can get their hands on the football and not be intimidated by the Tigers Pressure, they may be a chance in this game.

Why the Tigers Can Win

The Tigers are usually pretty good at fixing errors after a loss, and they welcome back arguably the best player in then completion in Dustin Martin.

Trent Cotchin is playing good footy at the moment and leading by example, but they need their big forwards Tom Lynch and Jack Riewoldt to step up.

If the Tigers forwards can take some contested marks and present well, the Tigers should make it tough for the Saints.

Prediction

The Tigers should bounce back and get the job done here.

Our Tip – Richmond (Win)

Carlton Blues vs Essendon Bombers

Last Meeting

Round 11, 2019 Essendon 11.8 74 – Carlton 4.9 33

(Essendon by 41 Points)

Last 5 Meetings

Essendon – 3 Wins

Carlton – 2 Wins

Current Head to Head Odds

Essendon – $1.74

Carlton – $2.10

Last Week

The Bombers game vs the Demons was postponed last week and the Blues had the upset of the Round against the Cats in Geelong, with a 2 point victory.

The question is whether or not the week off will have an impact on the decent form the Bombers were showing.

Why the Blues Can Win

The Blues were excellent last week and held off a fast-finishing Cats outfit to narrowly win the match by 2 points in Geelong. It’s hard to think of a better player from a congested pack situation at the moment, and Patrick Cripps proved his worth last weekend with 17 Contested Possessions and 12 Clearances.

Carlton looked dangerous last week, and Sam Docherty is a welcome addition to the backline after a couple of seasons out of the game. If they play like they did last week and Eddie Betts continues to look dangerous, they will be right in this.

Why the Bombers Can Win

An unwanted week off for the Bombers, but they have looked pretty good in their two victories over the Dockers and the Swans. Dyson Heppell out through injury is a significant loss, but the Bombers play well against the Blues in recent times. A lot of talented players all over the field and will go into this game the favorites.

Prediction

This game may be close, but the Bombers will probably be too good.

Our Pick – Essendon (Win)

Gold Coast Suns vs Fremantle Dockers

Last Meeting

Round 2 2019 Gold Coast 7.19 61 – Fremantle 8.10 58

(Gold Coast by 3 Points)

Last 5 Meetings

Gold Coast – 3 Wins

Fremantle – Wins

Current Head to Head Odds

Gold Coast – $1.67

Fremantle – $2.20

Last Week

Gold Coast continued their good form with a massive win over the Crows by 53 Points. One lousy quarter from the Dockers in Wet Conditions destroyed any hope of them beating the Power, and they lost by 29 points.

No real significant changes to the lineups in this game, but the Dockers welcome back veteran Wingman Stephen Hill.

Why the Suns Can Win

The Suns have looked impressive so far and have made the most of coming up against some sides that are completey out of form. Youngster Matt Rowell continues to impress, and the pressure they are applying off the ball is forcing teams into some bad decisions. They will be tough to beat if they keep that up.

Why the Dockers Can Win

The Dockers may be a significant injury or two away from disaster this season, and as long as Nat Fyfe and Michael Walters are fit and firing, they will more than likely be a chance. Still struggling with skills and somebody to consistently kick goals, but Fyfe and Walters will always give them opportunities to create scoring chances.

Prediction

The Suns were ranked to finish last, but they should win this game

Our Pick – Gold Coast (Win)
