With a match under their belt, groups A, B, C and D will be in action again on the first Monday of the Basketball World Cup for 2019.
The Nigeria vs Argentina match will generate the most interest with the Nigerians dropping their first game against the Russians. Can they beat a tough Argentinian team and stay alive?
The Predictions have been going well so far with a record of 16/16 at 100% in the early stages of the tournament.

Italy vs Angola
Prediction – Italy (Win)
Game Total + 152.5
Italy will take on Angola to kick off proceedings for Day 3 and the Italians will be full of confidence after a 108-62 win over the Philippines. They cleaned up the Philippines early and Amedeo Della Valle led the way with 17 Points, in 17 Minutes. Danilo Gallinari was also impressive with 16 points in 23 minutes.
The Angolans were outplayed by the Impressive Serbian outfit and lost their opening match 59-105.
It is hard to see them competitive here and the Italians should win this match with the Game Total more than likely going over the number.
Venezuela vs Cote d’Ivoire
Prediction – Venezuela (Win)
Game Total Under 139.5
Venezuela takes on the Ivory Coast and both sides are coming off losses. Venezuela lost 80-69 to the Polish team and the Ivory Coast played the hosts China, and lost 55-70. They shot the ball at 28% from the floor and will be looking to improve on that in their second game.
Both these sides are not high scoring teams and this game could be a low scoring defensive slog. The Venezuelans should win in a lower scoring affair.
Tunisia vs Iran
Prediction – Tunisia (Win)
Game Total Over 145.5
Tunisia takes on Iran and both sides showed some promise in their opening games.
Iran led most of their game against Puerto Rico, but was beaten in the last minute 81-83. Their Big man Hamed Haddadi was impressive in the first game with 22 points and 16 Rebounds.
Tunisia played Spain and was in the match early until being blown away by a lot more Talented Spanish team. Salah Mejri led the way for the Tunisians with 15 Points and 7 Rebounds.
Both sides had a lot of Turnovers in their opening matches and they will both be looking to rectify that in their next match.
This game is tough to pick and the Game Total isn’t too high in this one. The way Iran finished their last game was not convincing, and the Tunisians will be looking to make up for a poor performance against Spain.

Nigeria vs Argentina
Prediction – Argentina (Win)
Game Total Under 166.5
The Nigerians were the main Wild Card for this World Cup and it is difficult to judge how their two NBA Stars will have an impact. They dropped their first game 82-77 to Russia, and will more than likely have to win this game to stay alive. Josh Okogie led the way for Nigeria with 18 Points, but too many turnovers gave the Russians the victory.
Argentina made easy work of Korea with a 95-69 victory. They shot 55% from the three-point line with Nicolas Laprovittola leading the way with 17 points and five 3 Point Baskets.
Nigeria will be out to win this and will need to improve defensively in this game. This match will more than likely go under the Game Total number and the Argentinian experience should be too much.

Serbia vs Philippines
Prediction – Serbia (Win)
Game Total Under 164.5
This game could be very one-sided as the Serbians were impressive in their first game and the Philippines struggled against the Italians.
The Serbians shot the ball at 65% from the three-point line and dominated the rebounds 41-19, against Angola, in their 59-105 victory. Bogdan Bogdanovic dropped 24 Points in 19 minutes to be the best for Serbia.
The Philippines lost to Italy 62-108 and were only 13% from the Three-Point line. Andray Blatche led the way with 15 points and 10 Rebounds.
It is hard to see where the Philippines will get their buckets from and the Serbians may give the 36.5 line a nudge here. Expect them to win by a lot and the Game Total to probably go under.
China vs Poland
Prediction – China (Win)
The host nation will take on Poland after a 70-55 win over the Ivory Coast. Poland had an 80-69 win over Venezuela and this match is shaping up as a tough one to pick.
China shot the ball at just 10% from the three-point line, and will be looking to make up for that and please their fans. Jianlian YI led the way with 19 points.
The Host nation normally does pretty well in the World Cup and expect them to improve their shooting and win this game.
Korea vs Russia
Prediction – Russia (Win)
Game Total Under 160.5
After an impressive 82-77 win over Nigeria, Russia will be out to back it up against the Korean team. Korea lost 95-69 to Argentina and will be happy Guna Ra came to play ,as he dropped 31 points in the loss.
Russia was good in their first game and should have no problems here. The Game Total will more than likely go under.
Puerto Rico vs Spain
Prediction – Spain (Win)
Game Total Over 157.5
Puerto Rico comes into this game with confidence after coming from behind to beat Iran 83-81. David Huertas led the way with 32 points and was the reason they managed to get the win. Expect the Spaniards to give him a lot of respect in their next match.
Spain got off to a slow start in the first game against Tunisia, but once Ricky Rubio got going they made easy work of Tunisia 101-62.
It’s hard to see Spain get beaten in their group and should get the win here comfortably. The Game Total will probably go over the number.
