US PGA Championship Picks 2020

US PGA Championship Picks 2020

The first major of the year and we have the US PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco in which 95 of the top 100 players in the world will be competing.

The last time this golf course held an event was in 2015 in which Rory McIlroy won the 2015 WGC-Cadillac Match Play Tournament. Tiger Woods won the previous golf tournament here back in 2005 at the WGC-American Express Championship Event on ten under par.

A great week of golf last week in which Justin Thomas took out the FedEx ST Jude Invitational by three shots on 13 Under Par. He played solid golf and was excellent from tee to green.

Check out some of the highlights below.

Golf Picks Last Week

We did pretty well last week in which three of our four picks finished in the Top 10. Chez Reavie was out the outsider, and he played solid golf all week.

Xander Schauffele – T6 (-9)

Jason Day – T6 (-9)

Chez Reavie – T6 (-9)

Tyrell Hatton – T69 (+7)

Golf Course

TPC Harding Park, San Francisco California

Par – 70

Length – 7234 Yards

Previous PGA Winner – Brooks Koepka 2018, 2019

Former Winner at Harding Park – Tiger Woods 2005 (-10)

Our Picks

Brooks Koepka

Current Odds – $11

Koepka had a good week at the FedEx St Jude in a tie for second on ten under Par. We all know how well he goes in majors and the solid form leading into the PGA Championship makes him one of the more popular picks. Is gaining a lot of strokes on the field from tee to green, and if the putter gets going, he will be in the final couple of groups on Sunday.

Xander Schauffele

Current Odds – $26

Schauffele was well backed at lasts weeks event and got off to a relatively slow start. Had a hot finish to the event and finished in a tie for 6th on 6 Under Par. Xander is striking the ball well, which will be rewarding at this golf course and does play pretty well in the more significant events. He should be right there towards the back end of this event.

Sergio Garcia

Current Odds – $81

A bit of a random pick here, but Garcia plays well in major golf tournaments and is one of the leaders on the tour this season for strokes gained off the tee and from tee to green. Garcia has always struggled a little with the flat stick, but if the confidence gets up early, he may find himself right up there as he is striking the ball well at the moment.

Ryan Palmer

Current Odds – $151

If you like an outsider, it may be Ryan Palmer. He has never really performed too well in the majors before, but this may be his best chance as his form in recent events has been impressive in some of the vital statistical areas. This golf course requires accuracy from tee to green, and Palmer has been in the top 10 in this stat in two of the last three events.
