The Cats are coming off a tough loss to the Eagles and only a four-day break. They were a spirited side, but lost the match by 9 Points.
North Melbourne was finally able to get back on the winner’s table after a 69 Point victory of the winless Adelaide Crows.
Quite a few changes for both sides for this clash with the Cats resting 4 players and losing Charlie Constable to injury. Joel Selwood is back along with Ruckman Rhys Stanley, Jack Steven, Tom Atkins and Zach Guthrie.
The Kangaroos responded well last week to the dropping of a couple of senior players, but they are both back this week. Four players are either injured or managed, and Ben Brown and Jared Polec are back. Will Walker and rookie Lachlan Hosie also get their chances at senior football.
Current Head to Head Odds
Geelong – $1.37
North Melbourne – $3.10
Prediction
Both sides are on a short break for this clash, but the addition of Joel Selwood and finally a ruckman Rhys Stanley will make it tough for the Kangaroos. The Cats are playing confident football and using the footy well. They should be too strong for the Kangaroos in this clash.
Our Pick – Geelong (Win)
Player Prop – Gryan Miers + 56.5 Fantasy Points
This game could open up a little and Miers knows how tom sneak in a goal and normally finds space on the forward flank. Has a fantasy average of 60.4 for the season.
Adelaide Crows vs Melbourne Demons

Round 11 2019, Melbourne 12.16 88 – Adelaide 14.6 90
(Adelaide by 2 Points)

Melbourne – 3 Wins
Last Week
The Adelaide Crows were very disappointing in their 69 Point loss to the Kangaroos last Saturday. They have struggled all season, and it is hard to see a win coming anytime soon.
After a short break, the Melbourne Demons were thrashed by the ladder leading Port Adelaide Power by 51 Points last Thursday.
A lot of team changes for this clash with the Crows making a total of 8 changes. The majority were dropped, Taylor Walker and Tom Doedee are both returning.
For the Demons, they have omitted four players, including key position Tom McDonald. Harley Bennell, Adam Tomlinson and Alex Neal Bullen all get another crack at senior football.
Current Head to Head Odds
Adelaide – $3.10
Melbourne – $1.37
Prediction
The Demons need to win this clash to stay in touch with the eight and tipping Adelaide is probably not a good option right now. Any side that makes a significant amount of team changes is generally struggling, and they are more than likely already planning for next season.
The likes of Oliver, Gawn, Viney and Petracca will make it tough for the Crows, and the Demons should win this one.
Our Pick – Melbourne – (Win)
Player Prop – Ed Langdon + 66.5 Fantasy Points
Played well in this ground in his last game for Fremantle last season and should find some space on the wing in this contest.
Player Prop – Christian Petracca – 1+ Goals
An offensive midfielder who is having a career best season. Petracca should get a few of chances to score goals against a struggling Crows team.
